II) Involve all of the 7th grade A-team
teachers at Garnet Valley Middle School with Siberian Huskies, dogsled races,
or other things having to do with Alaska by:
A) Creating a Social Studies curriculum about life in
Alaska for Mr. Knight's A-team 7th grade classes.
B) Creating a Science curriculum about the genetics
and breeding of Siberian Huskies for Mrs. Rickansrud's A-team 7th
grade classes. Some topics may include:
1) What qualities do the mother and father huskies need
to have in order to produce a child that is an even more talented sled dog?
2) What decides the color of the coat that the
offspring bears?
3) Why do some huskies have brown eyes, some have blue
eyes, and some have one of each?
C) Creating an English curriculum that will have to do
with reading excerpts from books for Mrs. Grieco's A-team 7th grade
classes. Some of these books may
include:
1)
White Fang, by Jack London
2) Call of
the Wild, by Jack London
3) Jason's
Gold, by Will Hobbs
D) Creating a Mathematics curriculum that will involve
charting Paul's progress as he runs dogsled races for Mr. Gray's A-team 7th
