The Alexander Archipelago
This is a group of 1100
islands off southeastern Alaska. The history of these islands goes back to the
time when explorers had just started to explore the unknown world. The Native
Americans that lived in the Archipelago include Tlingit and Haida. The
industries include canning, fishing, fur trapping, lumbering, and uranium
mining.
